We separate each keyboard layer onto its own staff — synth pads, leads, arpeggios, and bass lines are notated individually with patch or sound annotations so you know which part corresponds to which sound. For very complex layered parts such as stacked pads, arpeggiated sequences, and dense lead lines, we work with you to identify the most important elements and notate each layer clearly on individual staves. Electric piano and synth transcription use different notation approaches because the instruments function differently in a mix.
